Itero® Scanner for Invisalign® and Crown and Bridge and Implant restoration

Itero® is all about patient comfort without the use of messy, goopy putty impressions. It combines the latest optical and digital scanning technology to create and highly accurate digital impression of teeth and jaw. The Itero scanner ensures accurate impression resulting in improved treatment and more comfortable experience.

The Itero scanner does not expose our patients to any sort of radiation.
The scan works seamlessly with Invisalign® to begin Orthodontic treatment with clear aligner and track the progress.
Invisalign Outcome Simulator: Invisalign outcome Simulator allows us to visualize your orthodontic treatment outcome before we start the treatment.
Cavities between teeth are often invisible to naked eyes. Dentist’s re;y on bitewing x-rays to find them. Itero’s Near Infra-Red Imaging (NIRI) feature allows us to identify cavities between teeth without an X-ray. We will still use digital xrays but Itero allows us to use them less frequently.

CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography)

A CT (computed tomography) Scan or Cone beam machine is a 3D imaging device. The three-dimensional images this technology generates allow for more accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. CT dental scans are fast, safe, and use significantly less radiation than conventional CT scans. Dental CT scans are used in a variety of situations to provide patients with a more accurate diagnosis and treatment planning of orthodontic issues. CT Scan can be used in cases such as:

Planning for accurate placement of dental implants.
Diagnosing temporomandibular joint disorder
Cephalometricanalysis
Visualizing nerve location prior to wisdom tooth extraction
Evaluating any jaw, sinuses, nerve canals, and nasal cavity issues
Determining bone structure and tooth orientation
Detecting, measuring, and treating jaw tumors
Planning for root canals and bone grafts

Digital x-rays

At Opal Family Dental we use Digital X-ray technology to provide our patients with instant, comfortable radiographs of their teeth. We use direct digital sensors which has been shown to significantly decrease the radiation levels compared to old film x-rays.

Electric dental hand pieces

Electric-driven handpieces provide constant torque and speed while cutting. Patients prefer electric handpieces as they are quieter and don’t produce same vibratory sensation. This is a big deal with patients with dental anxiety.

Ultrasonic Piezo Scalers
